Sesame Street LIVE!

A few weeks ago, we got a base wide email about picking up

free tickets to see Sesame Street on base.P1160525

Michelle picked ours up for us, and last night we went, taking McKenna with us too!

I wanted to get a picture of my two with Emily and McKenna before we went in, but Tiff didn't want to. Here are a  few of McKenna trying to force him to turn around and get his picture taken.  :0)

Elmo was the big hit.

I guess Big Bird and Oscar and Bert and Ernie were deployed, because they weren't there.

There were a lot of free give aways. Thunder sticks, spinning-light up- Elmo toys, pictures and information stuff for parents.

They sang and danced for about 25 minutes. The kids LOVED it, though I was a bit disappointed. I thought it would be "more."

Thankfully, the thunder sticks have somehow disappeared and at least the Elmo toys are silent.

News on the homefront:

Sam "dropped his papers" on Monday.

Actually, they now do it all online, there  is no paperwork involved. The AF needs to update their sayings so it matches.

Maybe, Sam pressed that enter button!

Or, Sam ....... ( creativity at a low today, feel free to leave your creative answers in the comment section).  Anyway, we should know a release date in about 2 weeks. They can keep him for 6 months, he requested 4 months, with enough leave days saved up we could leave in three months.

Some of the men in the church with a lot of house knowledge are checking out the house we really love today. If it isn't going to work, we need to know so we can concentrate on something else. It is older and will probably need some work, but we need to know how much work and if it is sound enough to get a VA approved loan.

The big kids have been at play practice all week. The performance is tomorrow night. Last year they were mean and bad cobras in Ricki-Tiki-Tavi, this year they are both in Rumplestilskin. Collin is a Knight and Kaitlynn is a gnome. I haven't seen any of it yet, nor have I helped them memorize their lines. They want it to be a total surprise. They ride their bikes over to the community center at 9:45 and come home about 2:30 in the afternoon. The performance is at 6:30 tomorrow night and we are all excited to see the fruits of their hard work! Expect pictures and possibly videos this weekend from it.
