Christopher turned to Daddy and commented:
"Daddy, how did those men get all the way up that mountain?"
...........
"And why did they turn into stone?"
:)
I just love this one below!
The boys did the mile long hike around the base, with more rock climbing as well.
At one point, Tiffer yelled, "DADDY, MY FOOT IS STUCK IN A SNAKE HOLE!!!!!"
Loud enough to make other people nervous.
It wasn't in a snake hole, and it wasn't stuck, he is just prone to a bit of exaggeration at times.
Though there were signs everywhere warning visitors to stay away from the Rattlesnakes that were out.
Notice in the background the rock climbing had already begun.
Collin climbed as far up as he was allowed. You can barely tell he is sitting by the sign that forbids climbing any higher without a permit and special equipment. Look closely in the picture below to find him.
The sky was beautiful that day and the winds were fast, because the cloud formations changed constantly.
I bet taking sunset pictures there could be really pretty.
The rangers said on top of the tower were mice, snakes and other animals that they assume got there when they were dropped by the big birds that hunt here.
I asked Kaebrie what she thought was inside the tower. She answered,'All the stars in the night time sky stay inside there during the day."
I thought that was pretty creative!
A very neat place to see in person. I think I rank this one #2 or 3. I can't decide yet. :)
Coming up: Yellowstone!!!!!!!!
