Happy Valentines Day!
Dear Sweetie!
Happy Valentines Day!
Please don't let the quality of this pre-planned steak and potato dinner reflect my true love for you. I had the best intentions for a nice meal, eaten late while we watched SURVIVOR. Unfortunately, about the time these were to come off the heat, Kaebrie yelled, well, screamed down the hallway, "MOMMY! COME WIPE MY TUSHIE!!!!". Kaitlynn is yelling from the schoolroom, "MOMMY, WHERE ARE THE STAMPS!!" Christopher is on his way home and falls on the ice outside and is screaming so loud the entire base can hear him and Collin keeps asking me over and over to come and see if he can watch this certain movie. The phone rang with a call from a travel agency saying if I would go to this such-and-such meeting, I would win a 3 night all expense paid trip to Reno or Vegas. I look around at the 5 loads of laundry on the couch I meant to put away before you got home, the lego and the polka-dotted stuffed puppy under the kitchen table I wanted to get before you came home, the couch cushions that are back on the floor, even though I have put them back on the sofa at least 17 times since lunch, and well, I was a couple of minutes late taking these out of the oven.
I do love you!
p.s. Thanks for tossing these pieces of jerky in the trash and happily thawing out frozen lentil and sausage soup from the freezer. Next year for Valentines Day we can go out to eat. :)
