Well, yesterday was a big day! Bible study in the morning, (and it was my morning to bring snacks which makes the morning a bit crazier with the extra work), then home for school, then off to town before Collin's basketball game, then my book club meeting after the game.
The sky was so pretty on our way into town, that yes, I took a picture of it while driving. Now, don't judge me! There are MUCH worse things I have seen people do while driving; reading, putting on make-up, and even putting on their hose (Sorry Jacquie). :) I like the drive into town. Just a long empty road. The white mountains are pretty and still look weird to me rising up out of a desert. When I say we are out in the middle of nowhere, I am NOT exaggerating!
Why were we going into town? Well, Kaitlynn and 3 of her friends were cutting their beautiful hair for a program called WIGS FOR KIDS.
So, here is Leigha, Kaitlynn, Anna Brooke and Cara right BEFORE the scissors!
Leigha got the first snip!
Kaitlynn getting ready!
Bye Bye hair! It did almost make me cry.
Holding one of the pony tails that took YEARS and years to grow.
So far, she is really happy!
Her first time getting a wash and dry in a salon. She liked it.
Mr. Steve with Leigha's ponytail. :)

When she turned around to see Cara's hair, Kaitlynn was REALLY surprised at how short it was!
Cara looked GREAT! It was such a cute haircut on her!
Leigha is still smiling!
Kaitlynn's hair is SO thick, that it took over 30 minutes just to dry it.

It looks so shiny and healthy with all those ends gone.
Anna Brooke was SO expressive when her ponytail got cut off.
Here is our new nine year old cutie!
Here is a view of 3 of the girls! Anna Brooke had to wait until KK was done to start her hair, but then Leigha had to leave for her basketball game, so we didn't have a chance to get one with all 4 girls together for the after shot. :(
They just all look so much older! Leigha will be 12 on the 26th. She and Collin share the same birthday. Kaitlynn is now nine and Cara will be nine in July.
Holding up the ponytails!
Anna Brooke wanted her hair cut just like Cara's! Now they match and they both look adorable!
The back!
Daddy didn't see her until he got to the gym for the basketball game. He knew the girls were doing this, but I don't think he expected it to be that short. I know I didn't expect it to be so short!
A great afternoon, and having done it with a group of friends will make it all the more memorable and having done it for a little girl who needs a wig just makes it that much more special.

So proud of KK for donating her hair, what a blessing to have such beautiful hair and then to donate it to someone that doesn'thave any is just the sweetest thing I can imagine. What a beautiful young lady that looks about 14 now!!! Don't grow up too fast. Accolades to all the girls! Love, JUJU Smith

LOVE LOVE LOVE KitKat's new "do".....she does look older - more mature.....but I LOVE IT!!!! Does she? It won't take as long to wash - that's for sure!~ And - you know - it's just hair - it'll grow if she wants it long again......
Love, Auntie Jax
