How about those apples? :-)

It was off to Emmett, Idaho ( about an hour and a half away) to the Candy Apple Orchard for a day of apple picking, picnic'ing, and fun!
We invited our homeschool group from town and our homeschool friends on base, and ended up with 16 adults and 44 children!!!!!
Here is the first photo of the day of the Smith 4!

Then the race was on! Here is Tiff grabbing what he can reach and RUNNING to put them in the barrel!

I have just discovered that if you click on these 3 pictures that are cut in half, you will be able to see the entire picture.Collin liked using the "apple picker" so he could get the really big ones that were up to far to reach!

THOSE EYES!!! Where those incredible blue-rimmed eyes came from?? We all know that the FIRST bite of an apple is always the best part. Well, I think little Miss Kaebrie enjoyed about 25 GREAT apples!

I caught KitKat taking a break in the shade under an apple tree sampling her harvest!

I think this was apple #17. I told the owner they should have weighed her when she arrived and then again when she left! :-)

Not really wanting to stop and pose for a group picture, but they did ok.

Kaebrie wanted that apple SO BAD!!!!!!! She stretched and reached and jumped, but it stayed just millimeters out of her reach.

Here are the biggest ones Collin found. They were so big he was able to enter them into the orchard sponsored contest of the BIGGEST APPLE OF THE SEASON! His largest one weighed in at exactly 1 pound 1 ounce. If he wins, he gets a free bushel next season!

Our favorite babysitter, Amberlee, was also on the trip. Here she is with Tiff on her shoulders so he can get some big apples up high!

34 of the homeschool group kids! I think a few families left early.

It was a nice, beautiful , relaxing day. We have bagged up tons of apples and passed them out to all the neighbors. Altogether, the Smith kids picked 60 pounds of apples and there is NO TELLING how many they pounds they ate!!!!!!! :-)
