The Blizzard of Odds

Every February, our church family has a Valentine Party worth remembering! This year was no disappointment. Above, Chef Fred made is Famous Flaming Peach Dessert with Firefighter Georgie on hand just in case help was needed.

Then, the staff entertained us with The Blizzard of Odds, a fantastic play (and plea) about needing a new copy machine for the church, amongst other things.
Snooky, our secretary, was Dorothy, just pleading for help for a new copy machine!
The munchkins of munchkin land pointed her off in the right direction.
Elliott, our youth minister, was Scarecrow, who desperately wanted more youth for his group and for them to think he was "cool."

Sam, played the Tin Man, and all he wanted was a sermon for Sunday.

Patrick, our music minister, played the Lion, and he wanted more voices and an M.Div from seminary.
Sharon, our pianist, was the Wicked Witch who did not want Dorothy to get the copy machine.

Well, Sam got his sermon! Elliott got great food to attract youth, and most importantly, Snooky got her a brand new, fancy copy machine. FOR REAL! The deacons had a quick meeting that next Sunday and approved it. :)
The cast; Our great church staff!
A very memorable night with a perfect outcome!
