Dental Day

Want to know a prescription for a good time?
Take 4 kids and their 80-some-odd teeth to the DENTIST!
I found a FANTASTIC pediatric dentist up in Boise when we got here that I would recommend
to anyone.
It is an all female staff. Everyone is so kind and gentle and PATIENT!
We have all four appt.'s at the same time, so we take up the whole place. Each Smith has their own hygienist and it works great.
Kaebrie had a new employee, but she was AWESOME! It took her about 15 minutes of role playing to convince Kaebrie to get in the chair and lay back. Then she demonstrated everything she was going to do on DINO, and Kaebrie cooperated. She even let them take x-rays!!
My oldest child won't even let them do that!
Here she is TOTALLY cooperating!

Kaitlynn has no problem. Ceiling movies are the best!

Christopher does fantastic as well!

Kaebrie wearing her shades and has the headphones on to watch and listen to the movie that plays in the ceiling and brushing Dino's teeth at the same time!

Four kids, close to 90 teeth and zero cavities again.

One child is missing in these pictures.
It wasn't an accident.

-------------------------------------------------------------------
On the way to the dentist, my cell phone rang and it was SAM!
Calling from HIS cell phone.
IN THE UNITED STATES!!!!!!
THEY MADE IT!!
He was tired. It was a long 9 hour flight in a windowless coffin (as he referred to it) across the busy Atlantic Ocean, but he was good.
They spend the night on the East Coast at an Air Force Base and are supposed to be here tomorrow afternoon.
There will be more pictures tomorrow of the happy, joyous, excited, exuberant kids and their glad to be home, but exhausted and tired daddy.
Mommy is trying to decide what is the appropriate amount of hours to be here, to make him feel welcome and glad to be home, before yelling "SEE Y'ALL" and running out the door ALONE without hurting any feelings.
:)
(Before returning by 8pm for the season finale of LOST)

hi
I'm here from NaComLeavCom
It's good you found a great Paed dentist that cares for kids emotionally as much as their teeth.
Has your DH been on deployment somewhere ?
What wonderful news he is back in US

Hola from NaComLeavMo!

Thanks for the comments & it is so nice to "meet" another military wife :)

So glad your hubby finally made it back to the states! I bet that is the happiest feeling.

Oh & I think you are in the clear to hit the door after he's been home about an hour :)

I'll be back, I'm sure! :)

I took a lot of teasing for taking photos of the kids at the dentist 6 months ago. LOL

I love this post. LOL

Glad Sam is winging his way home.

Oooo...I have to take my three (seven, almost-four, and going-on-three) in soon. NOT looking forward to it. So happy to hear your husband is almost home (meaning that the time is nearly at hand where you CAN run screaming out the door ALONE)!
