Beach vacation!

Now that looks like we were relaxing! And we SURE did!
Months ago some sweet friends of ours offered us the use of their beach house for a week in September and we graciously took them up on that generous offer!
The private pool shown above was used every day and a lot of nights!

Below was our first sunset there. Every night it was just so beautiful!
Tiff was in a VERY goofy mood that night!

I love how even though I tried to keep them dry, their pants are all wet. I guess it impossible to stay dry near the ocean!
The colors in the sky, the colors reflected in the water; what a beautiful portrait of God's creation.
I love this one showing the moon during the sunset with the waves. How peaceful.
Yes, Mommy had to do some goofy pictures. :)

The girls were calm and stood and watched. I wished I could have read their minds as to what they were thinking.
The next day, it was playtime! Kaebrie really enjoyed it, she wasn't scared of it a bit.
She brought me the first shells that she found.

Christopher decided to copy Collin and try boogie boarding and LOVED it. Except the part about getting salt water in his eyes and mouth.
Many large schools of fish swam by and they had fun catching a few with their nets.

The boys and their boogie boards!

Kaitlynn was NOT thrilled with the sand fights.
Whereas Daddy and Collin LOVED them! I guess it is a male thing.

My dad, Bumps, joined us and some vicious ping pong tournaments were held beneath the house.

Collin joined in too!
The tower was our favorite place. 69 steps up from the ground, it was worth the effort! We spent sunrises, sunsets, and time in between just sitting and talking, laughing or reading in the peacefulness.
Collin brought his guitar to practice and here he is showing my sister, Auntie Jax.
We went out to a great little pizza joint called the Pickle Factory and here is Kaebrie looking like she is up to something.
Christopher was ready to eat!
Here is Collin on his board!
Tiff figured out a solution to the salt water in the eyes problem. :)
Sam's parents, Poppa and JuJu, also joined us.
Many many sand castles were built as well. I like all the bright colors of the buckets.
And then it was time to BURY YOUR SIBLING.
They were so sweet to Kaebrie they even set up a board to provide shade for her eyes.
I love this one of Collin!

OK, yes, this is one of my favorite pictures, even though I am not a foot lover. Can you guess the correct order of the feet as to who they belong to?

The wet and sandy Smith family.

Sweet sisters after watching another sunset in the tower.
And terrific Tiff too!!
What a wonderful and relaxing week. Special times as a family and with some of our extended family.
I am so thankful for the blessing of this trip!
