Sweet Kaebrie is FIVE!!!!

5 years old.
It seems impossible for that much time to have passed. We talked long and hard about having this fourth baby, and now we can't imagine life without her. She brings such joy, such smiles and such laughter to everyone who knows her. She came into this world blessed with an extra large imagination and personality.

She requested pancakes for her birthday breakfast, and cinnamon pancakes she got!
After breakfast we walked down the driveway while it was still cool"er" and did her birthday pictures. We were done in about 5 minutes. The mosquitoes were trying to eat us alive!
Blonde hair, blue eyes, dimples, and left handed. No wonder we call her our recessive gene child!
Below is her, "I am up to something" look!
She wanted one with Yazzi, but the pup would NOT cooperate. She just wanted to play.

That afternoon it was time to open presents! Her pink shirt she had on earlier was in the wash because she got red Popsicle juice all over it.
Without telling us, Kaitlynn took her own money with her to her knitting class and bought Kaebrie a very special necklace at the gift shop.
Daddy walked in with her pink and purple gift bag and her eyes got wide!!!
What was inside? ALL her ballet stuff! Slippers, tights, leotards.....
And her own personalized dance bag!
Last was a pair of new boots. This girl loves shoes more than any child I have ever seen!
When we got to church for our Wednesday Night Supper, I took this one outside. I like it!
And we surprised them both with a great big cake for the whole church! It was YUMMY!

She started to get up and do something, then she sat back down. I asked her what she was doing. She said, "Mommy, I am five now. I can't be as silly as I was when I was four." :)

We have also told her that 5 year olds don't suck their fingers. So we reminded her last night that she can't do that anymore. Daddy has been teasing her telling her that if she sucks them after she turns 5, she will turn back to age 4 again.
This morning, she comes down and looks at me all sad. She asked, "Mommy, do I have to give back my presents? I sucked my fingers last night so I am not five anymore."

What fun she is!!
I love you sweet girl!!
