Last night was a great night~ We had 64 people from the Chapel come for a Seder Supper on Holy Thursday. It was a LOT of work getting it organized and set up and preparing the food. I sent out a MAYDAY call to Tabitha and DeeDee first thing in the morning and they helped SO MUCH!! Sam has been working hard putting the program together, studying the symbolism of the elements and refreshing his Hebrew! :-)Our family was at the head table. I said the prayers the Hebrew wife would have said. Collin and Kaitlynn stood and read the questions the Hebrew children were supposed to ask. The Seder meal had certain elements (horseradish, eggs, parsley, salt water, charoseth, and chicken bones) that were explained and some were eaten.
Every table head (the man) started out by a hand washing.

Sam explains the meaning of the matzeh as it is broken several times, hidden several times and eaten several times.

As we were to drink 5 glasses of liquid at various times, grape juice was used instead of wine.

The line was full of HUNGRY people!

When Sam sang the Hebrew prayers (in Hebrew) the children around the room giggled a bit, but I think even the older kids enjoyed the whole meal and were able to learn some things.
Now, an update on our FCA group.....
While we are talking about ministry, here is GERMAN NIGHT with our FCA group last week.

There is no RSVP, so we never know how many are going to show up. Which makes it difficult to know how many to prepare food for! We usually have between 10 and 18 show up. We had some extra show up last week so the first few to arrive were put to work in the kitchen! :-)
Here is Katy frying up more German potatoes!
And Dan peeling more potatoes for Katy to fry! ;-)
