Favorite Pictures

These 8 pictures are among my favorite. I came home with 279 pictures, so I am trying to weed through and pick out the highlights! And adding sections to the blog when I get a few free minutes! :-)
This first picture is Kaitlynn on Classy. Let's just say, they didn't really hit it off. She had ridden Strawberry for 3 rides before that and they were BEST buddies. Classy was a bit more stubborn and Kit Kat didn't like that. Nor did she like it when Classy started to LAY down with her in a mountain pond!
But, more about that later! :-)

I made her ride in front of me so I could get some better pictures of her!

The aspen trees and the previously mentioned fall-colored-forest floor.

This was 5 minutes after we got there. We threw our bags in our GREAT cabin, then went for a walk in the nearby field. We just sat on a log watching the young colts, and to her great surprise, they walked right up to her. Once this one realized she had no treats in her hand, he tried to eat her straw hat! :-)

We found this great purple cowgirl shirt in a HARDWARE store!

This one below is one of my all-time favorites.

Scenic Shots

The above picture is sunrise on Sunday morning. The pictures in this section can be clicked on and they will open up really big.
The picture below is sunset Saturday evening.

Now I know why they call Montana BIG SKY COUNTRY.

The view from our Saturday morning ride. Our wrangler said we were at almost 10,000 feet.

Craters of the Moon

This was a very interesting place, and one of the places I really wanted to see while we lived here. It really was a totally different environment. Very unique and kind of cool!

She looks a bit rough here, but this was 4 hours into our 6 hour drive home. She is holding her "Strawberry."

What do you hear?

Nothing but the sound of the wind and the clop clop of horses feet. So peaceful! The aspen trees were just starting to turn yellow and the floor foliage was already in thier deep fall colors. Spending hours at a time in this beautiful silence was just what I needed. And being an observer of my oldest daughter was wonderful as well. She is growing up before my eyes. We had a very special time together. Hopefully, we made some of those "forever memories."

Cupcake Buddies

Our neighbors went home to Wyoming over the holiday weekend and it just didn't feel right having Tiff's party without his best buddies! So, since today is his real birthday anyway, we had another cupcake party after supper!
Here is Wyatt, who is in first grade this year. Christopher can NOT understand why his best friend is gone all day now. He HATES it! Next is Colton, who turned 3 in August. Then Tiff, then Katie, who turned 5 in August ( Tiff is very excited to be as old as Katie ). All 3 of the Decker children play very well with Tiff and Kaebrie! Katie started afternoon kindergarten this year and so she is gone in the afternoons as well. Christopher just doesn't like it! He has lost his playmates.
He had his 5 year old check-up today, complete with a round of booster shots. Yuck. Eye tests, spinal check, ect, everything was great! He was OFF OFF the charts on his height. Like 125%. (duh, no surprise there), but he was also off on his weight. 115%. He isn't overweight, he is just very proportional. But the other 3 kids have always been off the charts on height, but not on weight. He is definitely built different then the others! Appears he might have more of my genes then just the dark eyes. :-).

Army War

Christoper's present was really easy to find this year! A few weeks ago a neighbor was having a Yard Sale and in that sale was a giant bag of Army Men and accessories!
No little boy has ever had so much fun for $2.00!!!!!!!!
Last night, I was looking for Sam and Tiff, and found them out in the backyard in the middle of a big air and land attack.
I think Sam is enjoying revisiting his own childhood as well! :-)

Posted by PicasaI like watching ALL my boys play! :-)
Here are two of this weeks
"Tiffer-isms"

1. Riding home from Wal Mart last week, Christopher announced out of the blue, from the back of the van:
"Mommy, I don't like my name. It's boring."
I asked him what he would like me to call him.
He responded, " Lightning McQueen"

2. Coming home today from the hospital where he got 3 painful shots:
"Mommy, that really hurt. That nurse broke my funny bone."
I asked him how he knew that.
He said. "Cause I am not going to be able to laugh anymore."

Birthday Weekend!

FIVE YEARS OLD!

THREE YEARS OLD!
What is a photo shoot like with a three year old?
CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She has turned into "silly girl" when she sees the camera. Her Daddy has taught her to make these faces!

She only likes lip kisses!

Christopher has a camera phobia now. RUNS when he sees me coming. But we did get a few good ones with Daddy!

He took one lick of his much anticipated cupcake and he was done!

Her princess, in her crown and red sparkly shoes, playing in the wet sand with McKenna.

Yet another silly face!
Wow. Another birthday celebration. Kaebrie has had all 3 of her birthdays here in Idaho!
She and Christopher are just growing up so fast!
